A Few Points of the Bible

1)
All of us are guilty before God because of our sins.
2) There is a penalty that God demands for sin: Eternal
punishment in hell.
3) God planned to save an elect
or chosen few to share the riches of heaven eternally.
4) These elect are sinners like everyone else. Someone
has to pay for their sins. This is what Jesus did at the cross. He took the sins
of the elect upon Himself and God poured out His wrath and punishment on Jesus
for the sins of the elect.
5) God is sovereign and saves each elect person sometime
in their life. He seals them with that Holy Spirit of promise, and they now find
their greatest happiness in being obedient to God as they learn about His will
and laws.
6) God saves by His Word, not the Bible. The letter killeth, but the spirit
giveth life. God's spiritual Word is what the person being saved hears. This
spiritual type of hearing is what God gives each one of His Elect.
7) The Bible is used by a saved person, and that person will use the Bible to find out about
what pleases God, and will then work on doing those things that he finds there.
On the last day all those God has saved will be given a new body, and live with
Him eternally.
No one but God
knows who He will save from eternal damnation in hell. It is the number
one task assigned to those
He has saved, that they declare this message of judgment and salvation
to the whole world.
Matthew
1:21 And
she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall
save his people from their sins.
Nahum 1:7 The
LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he
knoweth them that trust in him.
