A Visitor's Question: Are you just a ministry or a church?
<<BackThank you for the question, it got me thinking that maybe I should put the answer to it, on my web sites.
I am 66+ years old (born 1943, married 1964), and we have, 3 children, and 6 grand children. All the children have grown up, married, and are living away from home. Here is a recent photo of myself.
I have an electrical engineering degree, and have been working as a consultant (self employed) for the last 25 or more years.
My main enjoyment is in publishing and distributing teaching concerning the Gospel. This activity has been on going to some degree since I was 25 years old, and increased about 1990.
I am the oldest of 9 children, and as we were being raised, Mom would read the Bible to us for our bed time story. None of us attended church, except for 2 times, as I remember. I started attending church about 1990 and became a member in a Baptist church, then a Reformed Presbyterian church, then a nondenominational church (formed from people out of another Presbyterian church). About 2001, I came to realize that the church age was over, also my current church converted itself into a fellowship.
Early in 2005, my Dad died and left some funds to my brothers and sisters, and myself. I decided to use as much of my share as I could to publish and distribute teachings, audio, written, and face to face, concerning the Gospel. Next, I called my main client and told him that: "I need to withdraw from accepting new tasks until I have spent the inheritance given to me by my Dad."
I currently attend a
fellowship in the Los Angles area of California , about every 2 weeks. This
fellowship is
located in a house, takes place on Sundays starting at 10am, we
have a Bible study, lunch, prior week's study review, then sometimes
dinner. I post the
Bible Study review outlines on my site,
and the 10am - 12 noon fellowship (San Francisco, CA time zone) can be heard
live by dialing phone number: +1.408.648.4679
(San Jose, CA), and pressing button 3. The audio is running, 24
hours a day. In addition, here are some alternate numbers:
+44.20.3295.2042 (London, UK), +61.8.6263.3214 (Perth, Australia), also
Internet streaming audio is available at:
PC1.i11.us , PC3.i11.us ,
MAC1.i11.us ,and
MAC3.i11.us (the www. is
optional).
I have no affiliation with any Church.
During year 2009, I began doing a my technical consulting work, once again.
The short
answer to your question is:
I am just another person that wants to
help others learn, what he has learned, about the Gospel of Jesus
Christ.
I missed a three day Bible conference at the Priebe's house, a while ago,
but was able to fellowship with them later on Sunday (10/12/2008) with two
of my grandchildren. Here is a link showing some of the things that
occurred at the conference that I missed:
